As an artist, I have to do, not necessarily understand. In a way, intellectual understanding or knowing the causes is even a problem in artistic work. In my experience, it is better to create from a blind spot.
Our minds always want to understand, know and seek explanation.
The beauty of art is that our minds alone are not enough to come to a deeper understanding.
What is the meaning of existence, where does it all come from and what is it all for?
My answer to that? I don’t care! Rather, I delight in the mystical fabric that we call life.
